ATF CUP – Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions about the ATF CUP?
We’ve got you covered! Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the tournament — from weather and uniforms to game format, timings, and more.
We can’t wait to see hundreds of players and families come together for an unforgettable day of football in the Shire.

1. What happens if it rains or the weather is bad?
The ATF CUP will go ahead in most weather conditions, including light or moderate rain.
If severe weather (like thunderstorms or lightning) makes it unsafe to play, matches may be delayed or postponed.
Any updates will be sent to Team Managers and shared on ATF’s social media channels.
2. What should players wear?
All players must wear football boots with moulded studs (no metal or screw-ins) and shin pads — these are compulsory.
Teams should wear matching uniforms or team colours.
Individual players placed into mixed teams will be given an ATF training bib on the day.
3. How many games will each team play?
Each team will play 5 games throughout the day, including the Group Stage and Finals Series.
Games run for two 15-minute halves with a short half-time break.
4. Can my child register without a team?
Yes! Individual players are welcome. ATF staff will assign them to a suitable team and notify parents before the event.
5. What age group should my child register in?
Players must register in the same age group they played in for the 2025 season, ensuring balanced competition across all teams.
6. Can a player play in more than one team?
No. Players may only register and compete in one team during the tournament.
7. What time does the tournament start and finish?
Kick-off begins from 8:30 AM, with Finals and Playoffs concluding around 12:30 PM.
Full match schedules will be released once all teams are confirmed.
8. Will food or drinks be available on the day?
Yes - there’ll be a coffee van available on site, plus snacks and drinks.
Players should also bring water bottles and light snacks to stay fuelled and hydrated.
9. Can parents and family attend?
Absolutely! The ATF CUP is a community event and we love seeing families on the sidelines.
Please remember to cheer positively and respect all referees, coaches, and players.
10. Will photos or videos be taken?
Yes. Our ATF media team will capture action shots, highlights, and team photos throughout the day.
By registering, families consent to photos and videos being used across ATF’s website, social media, and promotional materials.
